Community Partnerships

Growing Community Through Collaboration

Across Cleveland, we’re building partnerships that strengthen both our schools and the broader community. Our partners help students apply what they learn in class, explore new interests, develop civic leadership, and understand their role in the world beyond school.

These partnerships take many forms: weekly or monthly intergenerational visits at senior centers and care facilities, community-based services provided on-site at our schools, group volunteer activities for corporate and service organizations, fundraising events hosted by local businesses, and collaborative programs that bring new resources and experiences into our classrooms. Each partnership is built on shared values and a commitment to meaningful engagement that benefits everyone involved.

If your organization is interested in partnering with the Intergenerational Schools, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us below to explore how we can work together.

Sports, Clubs & After School

Beyond the school day, students at the Intergenerational Schools have opportunities to explore their interests, build new skills, and connect with peers through a variety of after-school clubs and activities. These programs are led by teachers, parent volunteers, and community partners, and they change throughout the year based on student interest and available resources.

From creative arts and storytelling to cooking, gardening, journalism, and theater, clubs offer students a chance to discover what excites them in a supportive, multi-age environment. Recent clubs have included crochet, upcycling, health leadership, Girl Scouts, theater in partnership with Playhouse Square, cooking through Food Strong, and student journalism. Each campus offers different programs each quarter, so check Bloomz for current offerings and sign-up information.
